Home My Blog There is no tommorrow
There is no tommorrow
The golden sun moved slowly down,
And the moon with its silver crown
Extinguished the day into night,
While the numerous stars shone bright;
The wispy cottony clouds moved around
In the ocean-like sky without a sound;
The wind caught up a withered leaf
And blew it off, stealthy as a thief.
I saw these sights, sitting at my window,
Everything moving into another tomorrow...
Then wonder grew,  the thought struck me dumb,
What if tomorrow would never come?
Was i possible, could time stand still?
Perhaps it could, if 'twere God's will.
The day would descend into the dark night
But night would'nt end, nor darkness fade from sight.
The sun would perish with the desire to rise,
But the stubborn moon shan't compromise.
The earth would stop, and people would stare
For such an occurence is infinitely rare.
Trees, flowers, shrubs and blossoms of May
Would moan, and groan and wither, waiting for day.
Humans and animals would fall on their knees,
And pray and beseech: "Give us light, please."
Then God would say, in a voice mighty and strong,
While all creatures, alive or dead, stood in a throng:
"There'll be no emotions, nor joy nor sorrow,
This is Doomsday, there is no tomorrow..."
