The line of beggars waiting to get their share of tea and biscuits gives gives me shivers because half of them are good healthy individuals in shabby clothes just given up their life in asking alms for making a living...The granny sits near an 10 year old Sai baba temple , She looks to be in her 80's Covered with clothes made out of patches. She is propably unaware that what she does for safeguarding her skin against the cold wind has taken the generation like storm. Patched jeans are a trend these days. The old baba in his 90's blows air in his shank giving out sounds which stuns the crowd thats collected around and at times stuns me . There are approximately 100-150 people assembled at the temple. 100 of them would be beggars and 50 so called well to do people. The aarti begins and it ends..the tea stall next to the temple gets ready by filling up the stacked tea cups with Tea. The temple gives out tea to the beggars and the poor on thursday regarding it as the day of the Guru. The people waiting in the lines alert their nervous systems which gets a life after seeing Food around. 2 people from the temple take the tea cups around 100 of them and wait in the table. I on the other hand had to distribute biscuits.. One by one the people come and take the tea and I give them 4-6 biscuits of Sunfeast Glucose . It costs Rs.4 at any general store in India ...Soon the lines increase and people start cutting the lines to get an early hand at the food but the authorities dont allow that and One shout and the line is in order...This goes for half an hour untill all the people have been given tea and the tea distribution has been closed .I was just distributing the remaining biscuits...then a miracle happened... A small kid..as i told before approaches me and shows me her hand.. I give her some biscuits..She comes back to me after looking around and says Bhaiya Chai kaha milengi... I said chai band ho gayi... She comes back and asks the same question...I busy with the distribution couldnt pay an heed to her...The problem with this was after everything was done, I started searching for the kid everywhere.. but I couldnt find her.... And to make matters more complex I still recall her face before me...and as I write this I regret saying No to her because everytime I take a sip of a tea , her face will come before me to make me realise my mistake... its not a mistake but a miss... A miss at making someones life a bit better....and I couldnt....Well..Now I think of the tantrums I and people make regarding food. They say Khana Oily Hota hai... Mein Bahar ka khana nahi khaungi... Mere Beauty pey wo duty layenga.. I am doing Dieting so I need Frozen fruits filled with Nitrogen. oH your gonna die anyway..I have seen tears in peoples eyes when they get a single banana or tea to drink because they are starving and today if I ever say Khana Oily hotha hai or main super duper hyper mega rich luxurious honeydipped choclatedipped distilled 100filters passed food to save my beauty.. I dont want that beauty...Boley khana Oily hot hai... Yeh logo ko cake lakey do.. tho fir Oily or anything wont matter but yeah ask them to eat Chapathi and Bhaji then things become oily and What not... its like if you get a cockroach in your choclate You wont risk wasting the choclate because a incy wincy peice of cockroach was there you would take the cockroach out ( Lick it may be if ur a hyper duper choclate lover) and eat the rest of the choclate. The same cockroach when comes out of ur rice or bhaaji... EEeeew Cheee...Cockroach Kuch cleanliness nahi rehtha... Kitna ganda hai...oh my god.. My beauty.. I am trying to be beauty queeen......... Sheesh Give me a break!
