In a small rural family, a girl was born. Let's call her Tina.
When Tina was 7 hours old, she felt her head being pushed into water. She could hear a female screaming, perhaps her mother. She could feel strong hands holding her head firmly in water. She fell unconscious.
Miraculously, she survived. There were 7 people in her family - a weak and sick mother, 5 elder brothers, and her alcoholic father. On her second birthday, her mother's pain and suffering ended forever - she was no more. Tina wanted to hug her father and cry. But when she went to him, she found him with her brothers selling her mother's jewellery to buy alcohol. She felt alone.
When she was 6 years old, her neighbour's son of her age had his first day of school. She saw his colorful books and uniform. So she went to her father and told him she wants to go too. She heard her father shouting she was only subjected to household work, and faintly rememberd a strong blow on her face before she fainted.
On her 10th birthday, she recalled one of her brothers feeling her down there.
When she became 14, she felt weak and had severe pain in her back and stomach, and some signs of blood on her skirt. When she told her oldest brother, he laughed at her with his father and said she's going to become a mother soon. She went to her room and cried alone in the dark, missing her mother.
One day, in her 15th year, when her father and brothers gang-raped her for the sixth time, she knew she cudnt take it. She ran away from the village into a city and began working as a maid, where her daily chores included washing dishes, clothes, sweeping and carrying out small errands for her masters. Three years went by. One day a necklace went missing, she was accused of theft and thrown out.
She was uneducated, and couldnt find a job. One day, a man came up to her and said she could get a job if she would agree to spend a night with him. She was outraged, but she knew she had no choice, and she agreed. After a painful night of harrassment, she was still given no job, and the man shamelessly just said 'oh, im sorry.'
She decided 2 travel to another city for work. When she was in the train, she experienced every form of molestation by passengers - vulgar comments on her body, men feeling her private parts... Suddenly she felt dizzy and nauseated, and fainted. She woke up in a cheap hospital where a woman told her she is pregnant.
She wanted to kill herself. She took a knife and tried to slit her wrists. A doctor came up to her and tried to stop her, and in frustration, she screamed ''Do u know what it's like to be a woman? You get harassed by EVERYONE u meet!" And she stabbed herself and slit her wrists. She closed her eyes and felt tears on her cheeks. She felt no more.
