Nasik.. Is one of the largest growing cities of india.. And I am a part of the 25 Lakh Population People who prowl on the streets of this city with pride about the cities cool climate , Good amenities and RADIO Mirchi.... you may have started thinking what i am going to say in this entry.. Well here is my review of Radio Mirchi Nasik..

Radio.. for us nasikities was just Doordarshan or the News by the News and media Division of the Indian Government.. The advent of private players in other cities often kept the nasikite waiting for his share of the cake.. And one day .. Wolla we got Radio Mirchi of the indiatimes group who is one of biggest media companies in this country running Timesofindia, Economic Times, Femina, Filmfare.. and so on!

The nasikite was so happy that soon the prices of radio reached sky high by almost 40% the rates soared. so did the demand of fm phones.... Wow everything was good.. people were pleased to hear Himesh Reshamiya sing to her lover in his movie and songs of partner screaming through the voices of Udit Narayan .. wow.. Superb! .. And u know where it all ended?... So sad.. The advent of the advertising industry .. Boo Hoo!

They cashed in on the popularity of the fm and filled with ads.. Soon the number of songs were in equal proportion to the number of local ads heard on the fm station.. Kathiyawath stores was like the Hindustan lever of Nasik.. They were the unparalled advertisers ..!Talk about the amount of Real estate ads !... Soon the popularity dwindled but the user interactive programs like the traffic where updates of traffics used to given to users.. though it can be tweaked by fake calls.. I must say Nasik Radio mirchi Couldnt do what Radio Mirchi could do to Mumbai.. Realizing this.. The ingenious minds inside the corporate office of Radio Mirchi Nasik.. devised a plan to net in the listeners!... Free.. They used to give film tickets free for answering questions.. Fame Adlabs.. Well.. I dont know how the tie up worked but fame got its share of seats filled and Radio mirchi got a lot of listeners by that.. The " Free " word is like a choclate candy .. the indian Mind often gets attracted to it.. and succumbs to it!..
